Our Story

Crossgate Bible Church was founded in the early summer of 2020, with 25 people attending an informal Sunday morning Bible study at a leased location on Orange Drive in Jones County, Miss. That Bible study was held on the first Sunday of June in 2020.

A short time later, a decision was made to incorporate into a church. Even though the Covid pandemic was harming attendance at many churches that year, CBC’s attendance began to increase. Two years later, with membership climbing above 70, the congregation was able to purchase a building in Soso, Miss., just west of the Soso Post Office on MS Highway 28. The building formerly housed a Family Dollar store. The congregation renovated the building and held its first service there in November of 2022.

God has continued to bless CBC at our Soso location, as membership exceeded 100 attendees in 2024. We are excited to see what God does at our congregation in the coming years, and we welcome anyone looking for a church home to come and visit us. You are always welcome at Crossgate!
